Manila, Sept. 20 -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) expressed its full support for the Office of the Ombudsman's investigation into alleged irregularities involving government-funded information technology and connectivity projects.

In a statement on Saturday, the DICT said it would formally convey to the Ombudsman its full cooperation in the investigation and provide any records, technical information and other assistance needed to support a thorough and impartial probe.

"We are treating this matter with utmost urgency and stand ready to provide any records, technical information, and assistance necessary to support a thorough and impartial investigation," the department said.
