Imphal, Aug. 16 -- The NSCN/GPRN Yung Aung faction (NSCN-YA) has claimed responsibility for an armed attack on a 21 Assam Rifles post at Tikhak Taipi village, near Longvi, in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district.

The attack took place in the early hours of August 14.

According to a statement issued by the group's Ministry of Information and Publicity on the same day, a unit of the self-styled Naga Army launched the attack at around 3 am. The statement said the ensuing exchange of fire lasted about 45 minutes.
