Imphal, Nov. 7 -- The Manipur Police Department has initiated an investigation into recent incidents of civilian killings and arson across the state, according to an official statement issued by the office of the Director General of Police (DGP) on Friday.

Security forces have launched coordinated cordon-and-search operations in all affected areas to apprehend those involved.

The DGP's office confirmed that state police are working with the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) of the CRPF, the Border Security Force (BSF), the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army to carry out the operations.
