Imphal, Sept. 17 -- The Manipur government has been recognised as the Best Performing State among Hilly and North-Eastern States under the India Electric Mobility Index (IEMI) 2025, released by NITI Aayog.

In the open category, Delhi ranked first, followed by Maharashtra, Karnataka and Chandigarh. The recognition acknowledges Manipur's progress in expanding electric vehicle (EV) adoption and developing infrastructure to support cleaner mobility.
