Manipur launches special welfare enrolment drive for IDPs in Kakching
Imphal, July 3 -- The Manipur government on Friday launched a special enrolment and saturation drive in Kakching district to facilitate the inclusion of eligible internally displaced persons (IDPs) in various social welfare schemes.
The drive was organised at Wangoo Tera High School by the Kakching district administration, the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO), the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) under the Department of Social Welfare.
The initiative covered IDPs staying at the Wangoo Tera High School relief camp as well as eligible non-camp beneficiaries.
