Imphal, July 7 -- Two Assam Rifles personnel were martyred, and several others sustained injuries on Monday following a militant ambush near Nungshangkong in Ukhrul district, under the jurisdiction of Ukhrul Police Station.

The Government of Manipur strongly condemned the attack and assured that search operations are underway to apprehend the culprits.
