Imphal: In a major push for educational rehabilitation, the Manipur Government on Thursday, May 14, 2026, disbursed a total of Rs 75,40,000 in one-time financial assistance to 754 Internally Displaced Students (IDS).

The assistance, amounting to Rs 10,000 each, was provided under the Chief Minister's College Students Rehabilitation Scheme (CMCSRS).

The distribution took place at Imphal College, Kwakeithel, during a function attended by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh as the chief guest.

The funds were transferred directly via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
