India, April 3 -- Manipur has once again established its dominance on the national sports stage, securing an outstanding tally of five gold medals and one bronze medal at the 28th Sub-Junior National Sepak Takraw Championship, held at the Mega Sports Complex in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from March 23 to 27, 2026.

In recognition of their stellar performance, the Manipur government, led by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, organised a reception on Friday at the Chief Minister's bungalow to honour the athletes who brought laurels to the state.
