Imphal, July 24 -- Manipur Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Singh, accompanied by Additional DGP (Law and Order), visited the southern border district of Tengnoupal on July 24 to review security preparedness, policing and inter-agency coordination.

The visit followed a memorandum submitted to the Governor on July 15 by representatives of the Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Sena and the Manipuri Muslim Council (Moreh), citing severe hardships, including shortages of medicines and essential commodities caused by the ongoing economic blockade.
