Imphal: Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Singh, IPS, accompanied by Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo, IPS, visited Manipur's Kangpokpi and Senapati districts on Sunday, marking his first official tour of the two northern districts since assuming office, according to an official statement.

The visit comes at a significant time amid ongoing tensions between the Kuki-Zo and Naga communities, with reports indicating that six Naga civilians and fourteen Kuki individuals have remained in the custody of rival groups for nearly a month.
