Imphal: Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho on June 15 flagged off a fleet of vehicles for solid waste management at the Autonomous District Council (ADC), Senapati district headquarters.

The procurement of these vehicles was funded under the 4th State Finance Commission (SFC) Grants. The total allocation for solid waste management activities under the 15th Finance Commission stands at Rs 2.90 crore.

The new vehicles, including six tippers and two dumpers dedicated to improving waste management operations across the district, will serve key areas including the Senapati-Karong area, Tadubi and Makhre Padei area, Mao-Inu Choro area, and Purul and Oinam (Model Village) area.
