Imphal, Oct. 5 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday distributed welfare benefits to eligible labour card holders, including Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), during the 25th Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at the City Convention Centre.

The Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board (MBOCWWB) organised the programme. The benefits include financial assistance for children's education, medical treatment and livelihood support.

So far, the government has issued 6,813 labour cards to conflict-affected IDPs under the special scheme.
