Manipur Baptist Convention meets Deputy CM, demands justice for slain Liangmai Naga civilians
Imphal, Aug. 28 -- A high-level delegation from the Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) met Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho on August 28 at his Civil Secretariat office in Mantripukhri, seeking immediate government intervention and justice in connection with the killing of six Liangmai Naga civilians earlier this year.
The delegation submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through Dikho, appealing for an early resolution to the case.
The six victims were killed on May 13, 2026. Their mortal remains have been kept at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) morgue for more than three months, as the community has refused to conduct the final rites until justice is served.
