Imphal, July 2 -- Unknown miscreants set fire to a Bolero pickup truck in broad daylight at Pukhao Ahallup on Wednesday, just hours before a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition, including AK rifles, tube launchers, and explosives, was recovered within the same jurisdiction of Manipur's Sagolmang Police Station.

A daylight arson incident and a major arms recovery operation were both reported in Imphal East district on the same day.

In the first incident, unidentified individuals stopped a Bolero pickup truck carrying essential goods and electronic items at Pukhao Ahallup.

The vehicle, reportedly en route to Saikul in Kangpokpi district, was intercepted at gunpoint.
