Imphal, Oct. 1 -- The Thadou Inpi Manipur (TIM) has demanded that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) expose the motive and conspiracy behind the April 7 IED blast that killed two young children and critically injured their mother in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai in Bishnupur district.

The apex body's demand follows the September 25 arrest of a second suspect, 48-year-old Thangmang Haokip, who has been remanded to 12 days of police custody.

Earlier, authorities arrested S. Palal Thadou Kuki, an alleged finance chief of the banned United Kuki National Army (UKNA), naming him as a key perpetrator behind the attack.
