Manipur: Three women arrested for attempted sale of 60 defused grenades; two insurgents held

Imphal: Security forces and Manipur Police have arrested two insurgents linked to banned outfits and three women who were allegedly attempting to sell a large quantity of defused hand grenades to a scrap dealer, officials said.
According to police, the three women identified as Hajara Bibi (60), Ibem (38) and Imem (50) were apprehended from Chingamakha Phuramakhong in Imphal West district. The arrests followed specific intelligence inputs indicating that a consignment of decommissioned explosive materials was being offered for sale.
