Manipur: Three juveniles convicted under POCSO Act in Senapati district

Imphal: A First Information Report (FIR) registered at the Women Police Station in Senapati district under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has led to the conviction of three juveniles in Manipur.
They were arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl whose identity is legally protected.
According to Manipur Police reports, the three juveniles involved have been detained in an Observation Home for 19 days.
Each juvenile was fined Rs 5,000, which is to be paid to the victim's parents. Furthermore, compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the victim has been recommended.
