Imphal: Central security forces and Manipur Police arrested three insurgents, two women and a man, in coordinated counter-insurgency operations across two districts, officials reported on Saturday.

In the first operation, the joint forces arrested an active cadre of the proscribed Kanglei Yaol Kanna Lup-Socialist Revolutionary Party (KYKL-SOREPA) from the Hiyangthang area under Wangoi Police Station in Imphal West district.

The accused was identified as Huidrom Narendra Singh (38), alias Pathou, alias Abung, alias Lucky, a resident of Hiyanglam Waikhom Leikai in Kakching district. A mobile phone was seized from his possession.
