Manipur: Security forces recover IEDs, arms near Indo-Myanmar border

Imphal: Joint security forces recovered four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), firearms and communication equipment near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur's Tengnoupal district, officials said on Thursday.
The operation was carried out by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police based on intelligence inputs regarding the presence of anti-social elements near Border Pillars 72 and 73 under Moreh Police Station.
During the search operation, conducted with the assistance of a sniffer dog, the joint team recovered one SLR rifle, one 9 mm pistol with a magazine, four radio sets, one radio set charger and four IEDs. The explosive devices were destroyed on site, officials said.
