Manipur: Security forces recover arms, drone-dropped bombs along Indo-Myanmar border
Imphal, Aug. 21 -- In a joint counter-insurgency operation, the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF) and Manipur Police recovered firearms, drone-dropped bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) after busting a temporary camp in Tengnoupal district along the Indo-Myanmar border.
Acting on intelligence about cross-border movement and the dumping of arms and other materials, the joint security team launched a search and area-domination operation near Border Pillar No. 73 under Moreh Police Station.
During the 24-hour operation in the border area, security personnel recovered a hidden cache from an underground location and surrounding forest.
