India, March 25 -- Security forces in Manipur destroyed bunkers set up by Kuki and Naga volunteers amid ongoing violence in the interdistricts of Kamjong and Ukhrul on Tuesday, according to official reports on Wednesday.

This follows appeals from the Sinakeithei Village Authority and the Central Working Committee of the Tangkhul Naga Foothills Organisation, urging the government to immediately dismantle the illegal bunkers installed by the Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) at the Lungter foothill in Sinakeithei, Kamjong district.
