Imphal, July 8 -- Security forces arrested two insurgent cadres belonging to banned outfits and an alleged extortionist during coordinated anti-insurgency operations carried out across three valley districts of Manipur on Tuesday.

According to the Manipur Police morning bulletin issued on Wednesday, an active cadre of the outlawed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF-PLA), the political wing of the banned People's Liberation Army (PLA), was apprehended from a hideout in the Utlou area under Nambol Police Station in Bishnupur district. The arrested individual was identified as Keisham Kenedy Singh alias Roger (38), a resident of Utlou Mamang Keisham Leikai.
