Imphal, Sept. 24 -- India's top wushu athlete Naorem Roshibina Devi advanced to the women's Sanda 60kg final at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Wednesday, assuring herself of at least a silver medal.

Roshibina booked her place in the gold medal bout, scheduled for September 24, after defeating Macao's Chu Man Sin 5-0 in the quarterfinals. Her victory also secured India's first confirmed wushu medal at the ongoing Games.

The Arjuna Awardee has now become the first Indian wushu athlete to win medals at three consecutive Asian Games. She previously won bronze at Jakarta 2018 and silver at Hangzhou 2023.
