Manipur: Petrol, diesel prices hiked by Rs 3 per litre after four years

Imphal: Oil and fuel prices across Manipur were increased by Rs 3 per litre for both petrol and diesel, effective from Friday. This marks the first retail hike in over four years, triggered by surging global crude prices and tensions in West Asia.
The war in West Asia has again sent international oil prices soaring by over 50 per cent. Petrol prices were hiked to Rs 97.77 per litre from Rs 94.77 per litre in the national capital. Diesel now costs Rs 90.67 per litre, compared to Rs 89.67 per litre previously.
In Manipur, a litre of petrol will now cost Rs 102.3, up from the earlier Rs 99.15, while diesel will cost Rs 88.15 per litre, up from Rs 85.23 earlier.
