Imphal: Security forces arrested nine suspected insurgents, including a woman cadre, during a series of counter-insurgency operations conducted across Manipur's Imphal Valley over the past 36 hours. A cache of arms, ammunition and other incriminating materials was also recovered during the operations, officials said.

The arrested individuals are allegedly linked to several banned insurgent outfits, including the Revolutionary People's Front (RPF)/People's Liberation Army (PLA), National Revolutionary Front Manipur (NRFM), United National Liberation Front (UNLF), Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) and United Revolutionary Front (URF).
