Imphal, Aug. 14 -- Naga MLA Muivah, elected from the Ukhrul Assembly constituency, pressed Union officials in New Delhi for urgent repairs to National Highways 102A and 202, stating that severe road deterioration and landslides have isolated the districts of Manipur's Ukhrul and Kamjong and nearby areas.

Muivah recently met Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Secretary V. Umashankar in the national capital. During the meeting, Muivah raised the issue of the damaged Lower Hundung-to-Choithar section.

He called for the quick resolution of land, legal and contractual issues holding up progress.

He said the poor road conditions are affecting trade, disrupting emergency services and putting additional strain on local communities. ...
