Imphal, Aug. 7 -- The Tangkhul Naga Long Working Committee (TNL-WC) has launched a round-the-clock emergency helpline (Yarui I: 9612744804, Yarui II: 9862144506) for travellers facing monsoon- and conflict-related difficulties on alternative routes through Ukhrul and Kamjong.

Meanwhile, civil rights activists toured sensitive border areas to promote democratic resistance and ethnic unity.

The initiative follows the indefinite shutdown enforced by the Kuki CSO Working Committee, Ukhrul (WCKCSOs-Ukhrul), from the midnight of August 5.
