Imphal, Oct. 13 -- Police in Manipur have arrested three people, including a Myanmar national, in separate anti-narcotics operations across Churachandpur and Imphal East districts, recovering substantial quantities of suspected brown sugar and heroin, officials said on Tuesday.

In Churachandpur, police arrested 37-year-old Chingmuanchin Samte from Khupgou village on Monday and seized 45 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar from her possession.

During interrogation, Samte reportedly provided information that led police to her alleged supplier, Paumuonthang Tungnung, a 33-year-old Myanmar national residing in Boljol village. He was subsequently arrested.
