Imphal, Aug. 15 -- The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Sadar Hills accused Naga People's Organisation (NPO) volunteers of intercepting a vehicle carrying essential goods, assaulting its occupants and burning the vehicle at Manipur's Mayangkhang village.

The KSO demanded accountability and compensation, citing tensions arising from a prolonged economic blockade. It claimed that the alleged attack took place during a three-month economic blockade and called for immediate compensation and state intervention.

In response, the Mayangkhang Village Authority, in a strongly worded press statement issued on Friday, categorically denied and condemned the allegations made by the KSO Sadar Hills.
