Imphal, Sept. 15 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday launched the website of the Loktak Development Authority (LDA) and released the Waterbird Census Report - Loktak Ramsar 2026 at a function held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat.

The release of the report comes amid concerns over a sharp decline in the number of migratory waterbirds recorded at Loktak Lake, with ornithologists also flagging ecological degradation and increasing bird-trapping activities around the wetland.
