Imphal, Sept. 14 -- The Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) has strongly condemned the alleged killing of four civilians, including two women, in separate armed attacks reported in Manipur's Tamenglong and Noney districts on September 13.

In a statement, the Council warned that continued attacks by armed groups could push the state towards a wider conflict if such activities continue without accountability.

The KZC said the Kuki-Zo community has endured significant bloodshed and called for equal justice and accountability in all cases involving civilian casualties, irrespective of community.
