Manipur: Kuki leader demands exam centre, relief camp upgrades amid ongoing conflict
Imphal, Sept. 3 -- Prominent Kuki leader and Saikul MLA Kimneo Haokip Hangshing on Thursday raised serious concerns in the Assembly over the severe hardships facing residents of Kangpokpi district due to the prolonged communal conflict in Manipur.
Speaking during the eighth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Hangshing urged the state government to urgently improve access to essential services and scale up support for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
She noted that the ongoing unrest has severely disrupted education, livelihoods, and the supply of essential commodities.
