Manipur: Kuki Inpi directs Kuki-Zo MLAs to skip Assembly session
Imphal, Sept. 1 -- The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), the apex body representing the Kuki community in Manipur, has asked all Kuki-Zo legislators to stay away from the upcoming state Assembly session beginning September 2.
The six-day session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly is scheduled to continue until September 7, with three sittings planned during the period.
In a statement, the KIM instructed Kuki-Zo MLAs not to travel to Imphal to attend the eighth session of the Assembly. It warned that legislators who disregard the directive could be viewed as acting against the community's collective political position.
