Imphal, Sept. 26 -- The Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B) has strongly denied involvement in Thursday's killing of four individuals at Pilong in Manipur's Kamjong district near the Myanmar border.

In a statement released on Friday, the group categorically rejected allegations that its cadres crossed the international border or conducted operations within Indian territory.

Furthermore, the KNA-B disputed claims that the victims were innocent civilians.

The organization alleged that the deceased were actually cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Isak-Muivah/Eastern Flank [NSCN (IM/EF)] engaged in cross-border drug trafficking.
