Imphal, July 14 -- A coordination meeting on the development of Kamjong district, one of India's last border districts along the Myanmar frontier, was held on Monday at the Camp Office of the Deputy Commissioner at the 2nd Manipur Rifles Complex.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner L.N. Kashung and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner H.L. Jain, Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), and district-level officials.

Addressing the officials, Kashung underscored the need to improve the livelihoods of people in border villages through the effective implementation of government welfare schemes.
