Imphal, Sept. 20 -- The Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Working Committee of Kamjong district on Sunday called off its economic blockade, effective from 12 noon, following assurances from the district administration regarding the grievances raised by the local Kuki community.

The committee had earlier issued a 36-hour ultimatum to the Kamjong district administration and the Manipur government, seeking immediate action on the community's concerns. After the demands were not addressed within the stipulated period, the committee began the economic blockade at 12 noon on September 16, 2026.
