Imphal, Aug. 4 -- A joint team of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives during coordinated anti-insurgency operations in Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Thoubal districts, officials said on Tuesday.

The operations also led to the arrest of an alleged active cadre of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (Apunba).

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, security forces launched a search operation near Loktak Lake on floating biomass (phumdi) close to Sendra Hill under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district on Tuesday morning.
