Imphal: The Manipur government has imposed indefinite prohibitory orders across the entire Bishnupur district, effective from 7 PM on Saturday, following concerns over the prevailing law and order situation.

In an order issued on June 13, 2026, the District Magistrate of Bishnupur prohibited the assembly of five or more persons in any public place within the district. The directive also bans the carrying of firearms, sticks, clubs, spears, explosives and any other objects that could be used to inflict violence.
