Imphal, July 29 -- Imphal West Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO) Mayanglambam Rajkumar has said that discrepancies have been detected in around 2.6 lakh voter records in the district during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Speaking to reporters at his office on Wednesday, Rajkumar said the district administration has intensified the verification exercise in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure accurate and error-free electoral rolls.
