Imphal: Amid persistent monsoon rains across Senapati district, the Manipur government has issued a high-alert advisory, urging residents to remain vigilant as the risk of flooding and landslides increases.
Continuous rainfall associated with the southwest monsoon has led to rising concerns over swelling river levels and the possibility of landslides in the district's vulnerable hilly regions. According to forecasts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to continue in the coming days.
