Imphal, Sept. 14 -- Renewed violence was reported in Manipur's Jiribam-Tamenglong-Noney corridor on Sunday, leaving four civilians dead, a minor injured and one person missing in separate incidents.

At around 4:00 PM, unidentified militants attacked civilians at Longpi village in Noney district, under Nungba police station.

Thangvel Gangte and Julie Gangte, residents of Sempat village, were ambushed while transporting rice and died at the spot. Another villager was reported missing after the incident.
