Imphal, Aug. 30 -- A 48-hour coordinated operation along the Manipur-Assam border resulted in the arrest of two wanted individuals, while separate security operations in Thoubal district led to the apprehension of two active insurgents, including a woman cadre, police said on Sunday.

Acting on a requisition from T8-Guduvanchery Police Station in Tamil Nadu, Jiribam District Police launched a joint operation to track down two fugitives believed to be hiding near the Assam border.

Manik Uddin Laskar, 22, a resident of Cachar district in Assam, was arrested on August 28 along the Lalpani-Rasidpur Inter-Village Road.
