Guwahati, May 25 -- Security forces arrested five individuals, including active members of the United Kuki National Army (UKNA) and the Manipur Revolutionary Army (MRA), during a series of coordinated operations carried out across two districts in the last 36 hours. A significant cache of arms, ammunition and other materials was also recovered.

According to police on Monday, the first operation was conducted in the Nghathal area under Churachandpur Police Station, where two alleged UKNA cadres - Thongpi Guite (33) and Shokhomang Baite (40) were taken into custody.
