Imphal, July 30 -- Football Club Raengdai (Manipur) registered a historic 1-0 victory over the Indian Navy Football Team on Thursday in their debut match of the 135th IndianOil Durand Cup Group D Imphal-leg at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Substitute Amarjit (No. 11) scored the decisive goal in the second half, securing FC Raengdai their first-ever goal and victory in the tournament. The win also earned the Manipur club three valuable points in their opening match.

FC Raengdai will next face local giants TRAU on August 3.

Earlier, the opening Group D Imphal-leg match on July 28 between local rivals TRAU FC and NEROCA FC ended in a goalless draw, with both teams sharing a point each.
