Imphal: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched Phase 3 of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across 16 states, including Manipur, to clean and update voter records.

The state's revision drive will officially begin on May 20, 2026, with house-to-house verification scheduled from May 30 to June 28.

The ECI has announced the third phase of SIR to be conducted across 16 states and three Union Territories, including the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
