Imphal, Aug. 25 -- Electoral Roll Observer Mohan Lal Meena, IAS, on August 25 directed election officials in Manipur's Pherzawl district to ensure an inclusive, transparent and error-free electoral roll during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Meena, Secretary (Lok Ayukta/Commission of Inquiry), Government of Manipur, chaired a review meeting at the District Election Office (DEO), Pherzawl, to assess progress of the revision exercise. Pherzawl shares borders with Assam, Mizoram and Myanmar.

He reviewed electoral roll applications to assess the quality and transparency of the verification process and stressed that no eligible voter should be excluded from the revision exercise.
