Imphal, Sept. 18 -- The Manipur Congress has accused the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the state of institutional failure in handling the prolonged security crisis and called for the immediate termination of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) pact if systemic violations are established.

Speaking at a party event on September 17, former Chief Minister and Manipur Congress president Okram Ibobi Singh said the administration had failed in its constitutional responsibility to maintain law and order since the flare-up of ethnic violence in May 2023.
