Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday launched the Fertilizer Distribution Programme for the Kharif 2026 season and flagged off the distribution of the organic fertilizer 'Oorja' at a subsidized rate of Rs 250 per bag.

The initiative, launched at the Directorate of Agriculture in Imphal, aims to ensure adequate fertilizer availability, transparent distribution and support for sustainable agricultural practices across the state. More than 3.3 lakh farmers engaged in paddy cultivation and allied agricultural activities are expected to benefit from the programme.
