Manipur: CM Khemchand condemns Langka Naga ambush, calls for peace and inter-community harmony
Imphal, Aug. 15 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday condemned the August 14 militant ambush at Langka Naga village in Kangpokpi district, in which two Naga civilians were killed and two others injured.
The victims were identified as 34-year-old Wiriliangbou Chawang and 55-year-old Kawidinang Abonmai. Speaking at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Imphal, Khemchand described the attack as a serious setback to efforts to restore peace and urged communities across Manipur to reject violence and division.
