Manipur: Chief Minister condemns Kangpokpi murders, orders NIA investigation

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has assured strict and swift action against those responsible for the abduction and killing of six Naga men whose mutilated bodies were recently recovered in Kangpokpi district. Condemning the incident in the strongest terms, the Chief Minister announced that the investigation has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to ensure a thorough and impartial probe.
In an official statement, Singh reiterated the state government's zero-tolerance stance towards such acts of violence and said those involved would be identified, arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
